The Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organization, is tasked with keeping the blues tradition alive -- more specifically, East coast acoustic folk blues. Archie's Barbershop, located in NE Washington, DC, functions as a museum, music hall and educational facility, as well as headquarters for the organization.

The Blues Alley Jazz Society was founded in 1985 by then internationally-renowned jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie and its corresponding nightclub namesake located in here our Nation's Capitol. The Blues Alley Jazz Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the musical philosophy of youth, jazz and education and tries to achieve that ambition.
